Fish-Nelson Award for NFA Lincoln/Douglas Debate
The Fish-Nelson Award is given to the student who exhibits the finest qualities in NFA Lincoln/Douglas Debate. The Fish-Nelson Award is named after Duane Fish and Mark Nelson.
Duane Fish is the long-time Director of Forensics at Northwest College in Wyoming. He has served as the Vice-president of Tournament for Phi Rho Pi and directed Phi Rho Pi's National Tournament for many years. Mark Nelson is the recently retired Director of Forensics from Santa Rosa Junior College in Northern California. Mark is an outstanding debate coach and has served as Region I Governor, a member of the Tournament Committee, and was the chair of the Debate Committee for many years. The award is voted by all student participants in NFA Lincoln/Douglas debate at the Phi Rho Pi National Tournament. |
